Mission

Immunis Foundation is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing medical science, healthcare, and health outcomes. We support innovative technologies and applications that drive meaningful and lasting improvements in health.

Background

Immunis is a capital fund established in April 2022 by the Van Vliet family. The foundation is an initiative by the Van Vliet family, who have a background in asset management. They wanted to create a fund specifically focused on supporting initiatives in the medical sector that make a difference. In 2005 the family also set up the public benefit organization Adessium Foundation.

The resources that Immunis allocates to its mission are made available by an affiliated charitable foundation.

Approach & mission

The board explores opportunities for Immunis to make a difference. We seek out initiatives and projects that match our mission and that we may wish to support. We don’t accept unsolicited proposals. The contribution made by Immunis can vary from supplying venture capital to making donations.

Our name

The name Immunis comes from Latin and means ‘resistant to infections’. Working from this angle we focus on practical solutions, with health as the overarching goal.

Board

The board is made up of Rogier van Vliet (chair), Willem Verschuur and Rogier van der Weerd. The foundation is based in Reeuwijk, the Netherlands.
