During Infection Prevention Week (May 18-22) in the Netherlands, Samenwerking Infectieziekten (the Infectious Diseases Collaboration joint initiative) is launching the public awareness campaign Together Infection-Safe. The campaign highlights the growing threat of infectious diseases and the importance of collective prevention.

Building resilience

Research shows that half of people in the Netherlands are concerned about the threat of infectious diseases. At the same time, a majority say they are willing to do more themselves to help prevent infections. We need to become more resilient as a society. That means making it the norm to protect yourself, one another, and especially those who are more vulnerable.

Where you’ll see it

The campaign will roll out starting May 19 across social media, online video platforms, movie theaters, digital billboards at selected train stations, and on the radio. The campaign website offers more information (in Dutch) about infectious diseases, personal stories, and practical tips to help people protect themselves and others.
